At least in France, like Australia, there are these really interesting types of public political slash private citizen rencontre slash conflit. Would be wonderful for an American to be able to say this to Bush, but this type of bizarre "intimacy" never occurs. But there haven't been many political assassinations in France since Henri IV now have they . The great Jean Juares I suppose. Am I forgetting something?
