I saw some hardcore parkour kiddies practising at my local university the other day. i had the vague impression that they were being taught by other more experienced kids.
i suppose it's no surprise that there would be organised classes, what with two films using parkour as its point of interest... but it is nevertheless a little sad that it is so hard for certain pockets of knowledge to remain separate, and that they must almost inevitably be incorporated into some greater more power chain of knowledge that distorts and a recodes the original messages for its own benefits.

yeah, let's institutionalize jumping over things! come to think of it, let's open academies for other challenging things you're supposed to learn on your own, like sex . . . i love it when i have a padded environment in which to be urban. it's SO much safer.
